Biography

I am Dr Mrs OKE Elizabeth Olufunke(Nee Odede) a Native of
Ogbomoso from Ogbomoso North local Govment in Oyo state. Born
into the family of Deacon and Mrs James Ayoade Odede in the year
1976. The 2nd out of six children.
I Commenced my academic career in 1979 at First Baptist Nursery
and Primary School Kaduna, kaduna state. I graduated as one of the
best pupil in my set with best in Science. I proceeded to Olivet baptist
high school Oyo in the year 1989 for my secondary education. I was
made the senior prefect girl of my set. I make my SSCE result and also
my JAMB result in 1994.
I got admission into Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 1995
to study MEDICINE and obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
(MB;BS) in the year 2003. I had my Intership at LAUTECH Teaching
Hospital Osogbo and proceeded for NYSC at Hospital management
board in Osogbo Osun state.
The determination to get to the peak of my career made me to
proceed for my residency programme in Laboratory Medicine at
LAUTECH Teaching Hospital(LTH) Osogbo in 2008 and later relocated
to LTH Ogbomoso in 2011 to continue with my programme. In the
course of pursuing my dream, part of my training was also done at
Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Complex Ile-Ife also in Osun
State. I was involved in clinical research that is laboratory based
(some now published in reputable journals) and also in the training
and teaching of medical, paramedical students and resident doctors
in Chemical Pathology. I also served as the chief resident in my
department.
I also had the oppurtunity to attend international coferences of both
West African College of Pysicians and Surgeon during my residency
training within and outside Nigeria. I also attended the 6th Rwanda
Society of Obstretricians and Gynecology annual scientific conference
in september 2018 where i presented a paper. Also as a Speaker at
Virtual Conference ‘’International Congress on Biotechnology and

Food Sciences(SciTech BioTech-Food Sciences 2020)’’ September
2020.
I became a Fellow of West Africa College of Physicians(Chem. Path) in
April 2017 and presently working as a Lecturer at BOWEN University
from April 18th 2017 and as a Consultant Chemical pathologist at
BOWEN Teaching Hospital Obomoso.
I am happily married to DR Oke Oluwaseyi Felix a Consultant
obstretrician and gynaecologist and blessed with four Children.
