Biography

Dr OGUNLAJA, Olumuyiwa Ayotunde was born November 1, 1978 to the family of Mr & Mrs

Emmanuel Ogunlaja. He had his primary and secondary education in Kaduna state, Nigeria. He
is a native of Ode-Remo, Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State. He obtained a
Bachelor of Medicine;Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) at the University of Ilorin. He had his
residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital,
Ilorin, Kwara State following which he became a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical
College of Nigeria (FMCOG) and the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in 2013.
Presently, he is a Senior lecturer and a Honorary consultant at the Bowen University, Iwo, Osun
State and the Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Oyo State respectively. He was
the Deputy Director of Clinical Services, Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso
between July 2018 and June 2020. He currently occupies the position of the Director of Clinical
Services at the same hospital. He has several local and international publications to his credit. Dr
Ogunlaja Olumuyiwa Ayotunde is a devout Christian, he is married to Dr Idowu Ogunlaja, who
is also an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and they are blessed with two(2) children.
