Biography

ORONIRAN Oluyinka is a graduate of Bowen University, Iwo, Nigeria with a B.Sc.
degree in Food Science & Technology in the year 2007. She has two Master’s
degree in Food Technology and Human Nutrition, both from University of Ibadan,
Nigeria in the year 2011 and 2016, respectively. As an Assistant lecturer, she
taught and supervised several undergraduate courses and research projects in
Food Science & Technology and currently teaching several others in Nutrition &
Dietetics program from second to final year along with supervision of students’
research projects. She is currently acting as the Program Coordinator for
Nutrition & Dietetics program under College of Health Sciences.
Oluyinka is a scientist with research focus on development, processing/
utilization and consumption of nutritious and healthy, value added products
from local staples for various target groups in order to improve health and
livelihood hence contributing to food and nutrition security.
She was a post B.Sc. Fellow of African Women for Agricultural Research and
Development (AWARD) in 2011-2013 during which she had the opportunity to
be mentored by a Senior Researcher which contributed greatly to her capacity
building.
