Biography

Dr. Onasoga-Molake currently lectures in the Department of Political Science and Diplomatic Studies, at Bowen University, Iwo. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Language, M.Sc. and Ph.D in International Relations. Her research interests include International Development, Conflict management, and Global Civil Society. The opportunity of working in an academic environment provides her a unique opportunity to relate with young people, impacting knowledge as well as learning from their boundless insights and optimism. She has supervised students’ projects especially those in the areas of non-state actors. She is currently the Faculty Examination officer (SMS), Chair, PDS Departmental Curriculum Committee, and the Chair, Bowen University Staff School Committee.

Prior to joining Bowen University, Dr. Onasoga-Molake had worked extensively within Nigeria’s non-profit sector. Using her social science research methodology skills, in conjunction with her broad understanding of developmental concerns and issues, she has been able to marry theory with reality in her endeavors. Dr. Onasoga-Molake has an enduring interest in non-state actors actions, gender and rights-based issues, and developmental programs that touch the lives of people, especially the youths, women and vulnerable groups.
