Lecturer I

Biography

I am Oladosu Oladipo Olarinre, with a PhD degree Medical Parasitology. I finished from College of Medicine, University of Lagos in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. My area of specialization is in Medical Parasitology and Molecular Biology. My research area of interest is in malaria diagnosis, antimalarial resistant parasites, Plasmodium falciparum genomic studies, molecular epidemiology and neglected tropical diseases. My PhD thesis was on ‘Malaria in Febrile Children: Diagnoses and Molecular Characterization of P falciparum for Drug Resistance in Nigeria’. This research work involves the determination of baseline SP and CQ resistance in Plasmodium falciparum strains in children in Lagos, Nigeria.
