Lecturer II

Biography

Bimbola Oluwafunlola Idowu-Faith earned her PhD from English Department, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her PhD thesis titled “Hyperfictional Language in Michael Joyce’s afternoon, a story and Megan Heyward’s of day, of night” is a stylistic investigation of how language, multimodal resources/applied media aesthetics and textual creativities merge within digital literature to blur, alter and redefine the borders between postmodern literary theories, hypertext theories and computer technologies. She was a 2014 Postdoctoral Fellow of the African Humanities Project (AHP) of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), New York, USA. Working primarily within (literary) stylistics, she is particularly interested in characterisation, impoliteness, multimodality, trauma and women in (digital) literature and films.
