Akinwale O. Akinwunmi is a Senior lecturer at the Computer Science Programme College of
Computing and Communication Studies, Bowen University, Iwo. He has B.Sc. Computer
Engineering, M.Sc. and Ph.D Computer Science all from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo
University Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is a member of the following professional bodies namely
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), International Association of Engineers (IAENG)
Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special
Interest Group on Economics and Computation. He is a Professional Fellow, Institute of
Corporate Administration of Nigeria. His research interest among others includes Networking
and Communication, Hardware, Distributed Systems, Mobile Computing, Modelling and
Simulation. The main thrust of his research is reliable and trustworthy systems, particularly
focusing on the application of distributed computing approaches such as Grid Computing, Cloud
Computing, Mobile Computing, Communication Network Technologies and so on to address
problems that are usually difficult to solve monolithically. He has 18 publications to his credits
in reputable journals, peer reviewed conference proceedings and books. He is also an article
reviewer for Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) conference, Application of Information and
Communication Technology to Teaching, Research, and Administration (AICTTRA), and
Cogent Engineering. He was once an examiner with Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria
(CIBN). He is also IntechOpen and Cogent Engineering authors. He is the group lead of
Computing and Analytics Research Lab (a research cluster in Computer Science Programme Bowen University Iwo).
