Peter Adedeji is a 36-year-old, Lecturer of Nursing Science with specialty in Clinical, Educational
and Community Health Nursing Informatics. He is a research and ICT enthusiast with over a
decade experience in the application of digital computing to diverse areas of Clinical Nursing
Specialties, Nursing Education, School Health, Social Media for Health, Patient Counseling
e-Portals and Virtual Health Communities. Peter actively participated in the development of the
first Online Distance Learning Programme for Nursing as an ICT/Program Assistant at the Centre
for Distance Learning, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2008. Ever since then, Peter has continuously developed his academic, research and digital skills for
effective user-centered solutions based on notable Usability theories and eHealth Implementation
Frameworks. The indigenous EHR implementation frameworks are aimed at achieving successful
implementation of digital healthcare systems in resource-constrained settings especially in
sub-Sahara African countries. In addition, Peter works as Nursing Informatics Consultant to
healthcare organizations with the aim of developing customized, User-friendly Documentation
Templates for easy, effective and evidence-based implementation of Nursing Process. This
approach has led to high-level Usability and Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records among
Nurses, due to unique and copyrighted Documentation Templates that are compliant with global
Standardized Nursing Languages. Also, his favourite courses as a lecturer are: Research in Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics for
Nurses, Entrepreneurship, Curriculum and Teaching Methodologies, Health Economics, and
Computers-in-Nursing. After achieving a distinction-grade Masters in Nursing Science; Peter is
now a PhD. candidate in the Department of Nursing Science, College of Health Sciences, Obafemi
Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is an avid reader, philosopher and gardener.
